波爾多右岸午宴

玩了左岸比賽那麼多年真的有點悶,Vinexpo 期間去了個波爾多右岸的午宴,才覺得原來右岸亦有舉辦一個類似比賽的條件。首先,右岸的Saint-Emilion Pomerol-Fronsac 都有10個不同的法定產區。

多得主辦單位的選酒,我從不同的產區酒真的感受到截然不同的風格,盲品分區已經可以玩,而且右面的名莊,例如Petrus和Chevel Blanc 等絕對不比左面所謂五大遜色,叫坐力應該不差。

論酒的話右岸的酒多以Merlot 為主,果味重而單寧一般比左面的Cabernet Sauvignon柔和,就算是一些很熱的年份也不會澀得太過份,只是酒精度有時會很高(現場有支2010年的16%)。

因此亦可以配一些左岸配不到的中菜,例如是午宴中的炒蝦,如果是左岸酒,一早已經腥到不行了。

I think It would be a great idea to have a right bank wine competition like the Left Bank Bordeuax Cup because there are 10 applellations in the region and thanks for the wine selection of different appellation shown unique character because of their terrior.

In pairing with Chinese food like Guangdong cuisine which have more fresh seafood, the wine of the right bank is more approachable because of its softer tannin.
