意大利Piedmont 的La Spinetta酒莊

和意大利Piedmont 的La Spinetta酒莊的Luca Cigliuti先生試飲。最近試過幾次Piedmont 的Chardonnay, 包括附近一個G字頭的大莊那支,感覺甚佳。這支Chardonnay Lidia 2013,高酸,微Toasty, 合我口味。

Barbera d’Asti Bionzo用的Barbera 葡萄一般酸度較高,還有女士最愛的豐富果味。用Nebbiolo 的兩支Barbaresco 都是一開即飲,口感也是果味先行而當中的Barbaresco Valeirano則有較重的香草,尤加利葉的香味,我比較喜歡。Barolo Campe 2003更濃厚,正散發陣陣微微的花香。由於酒的身材依然壯健,仍然有陳年的能力,可其待十多年後會有更多變化。La Spinetta Passito Oro 2008是葡萄乾甜酒,甜酸極平衡清爽,比喝波字頭S地區開心多了。

試想在1515年,一個完全沒有見過犀牛的人,純粹依照見過犀牛的人的描述而畫出這隻活靈活現的犀牛,神奇吧。這也是La Spinetta 酒莊莊主Giorgio Rivetti 以這個犀牛木雕作品(Dürer’s Rhinoceros)作為Barbaresco酒標的原因。莊主也選了這位德國畫家Albrecht Düre的另一個畫作Liegender Loewe (Lying Lion) 為Barolo 的酒標。以萬獸之王配意大利葡萄酒王,可說是十分貼切。

It was a pleasure tasting La Spinetta’s wines with Mr. Luca Cigliuti, enjoyed the freshness and acidity of the Chardonnay Lidia 2013.

For ladies how enjoy fruitiness and smooth tannin, Barbera d’Asti Bionzo is a good choice.

The both Barbaresco so ready to drink once open up, both fruit driven and astringent but the Barbaresco Valeirano got more herbal notes like Eucalyptus, which is the one I prefer.

Barolo Campe 2003 was more intense, on black fruit, tannin, acitity and the floral note, the backbone and structure still strong so I expect the complexity would further develop in coming 10 years.

The wine label of the Barbaresco of La Spinetta is the woodcut executives by German painter Albrecht Düre in 1515, known as the “Dürer’s Rhinoceros”. Dürer never saw the actual rhinocecros, he executed the woodcut totally based on a written description.

The winery owner Mr Giorgio Rivetti was amazed by this story, therefore he has put it on the label of the Barbaresco. As Barolo is generally known as the king of Italian reds, another masterpiece of Albrecht Düre – “Liegender Loewe”(Lying Lion), of the king of all animals made for an ideal match.
