Wine dinner with Mr. Didier Cuvelier, owner of the Château Léoville Poyferré – Saint-Julien .
Back to 1979, Didier is the first member in the Cuvelier family who take charge of Leoville Poyferre, which had been managed by Roger Delon, the owner of Chateau Leoville Las Cases, since 1920.
We have tasted Chateau Leoville Poyferre 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2012 during the dinner.
It shows classic St. Julien wine’s style, complex, blalnced and elegant with round and silky aftertaste. I like the 2005 vintage for it’s potential, but 2003 was the one most ready to drink. Thanks The Gourmet Wine Club
