Great food and wine pairing experience with BC (British Colimbia, Canada) wine and BC food during “A taste of British Columbia” event by the Wines of British Columbia.
Except the well know Ice wine, a full range of dry white and red wines also demonstrated, including Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Meritage.
A Red Meritage is a blend of two or more of the red “noble” Bordeaux varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and the rarer St. Macaire, Gros Verdot and Carmenère. That’s what we called “Bordeaux Blend”
